By offering great service and amazing food, Mudtown has been a staple and attraction for locals and tourists alike since opening its doors. Owner David Horn bought the restaurant in 2005—at which time it was voted best new restaurant—and kept the name for historical reasons. The term “mudtown” was used by the Creek Indians in the 1800s to describe the swampy, muddy conditions that were often caused by thunderstorms in the Cahaba River vicinity, the same area in which Mudtown Eat and Drink is located.
Mudtown offers nightly specials as well as a happy hour weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Take pleasure in eating your Sunday brunch on one of two outside decks. You can appreciate live music from local artist Cody Howell every Tuesday evening. Find these and more events and specials on their Facebook page by searching for Mudtown Eat and Drink.
From the terrific staff and remarkable service to the mouthwatering food and incredible drinks, Mudtown will be sure to gain your respect. One visit and you will be sure to frequent this local hotspot.
