Custom Touches Like No Other
As you read this, a custom-built home radiating its own character of rustic sophistication is being finished at 1800 Hardwood View Drive inside The Cove of Greystone subdivision in Hoover.
“The lot was a diamond in the rough, but we could see all of its potential even before we cleared it off and began the house,” says Bill Wielder, owner of StyleMark Homebuilders LLC, who promises this “diamond” will be sparkling in time for a spring move in.
Bill, who has been involved in construction for the past 35 years, says he watches every detail of the homes his company builds and visits the sites at least two or three times daily.
This new, two-story home encompasses nearly 4,000 square feet. It features a basement and will have a full brick exterior. It offers five bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a 12-foot-tall living room, full two-story foyer, dining room and giant playroom over the living room. It also has a main floor laundry room, which will have a utility sink with granite countertops and cabinets above and below.
With parking in the basement, the house also will have a convenient, front circular drive. Its spacious yard will be a great spot for an outdoor arbor, swimming pool or open family space.
Bill’s specialty is incorporating antique wooden accents into homes, with the wood reclaimed from regional sources.
“You may see cedar ceilings, barn doors, big beams or historical wooden mantles in our homes,” he says. “No two of our houses are alike!”
He says he loves seeing one-of-a-kind houses come together, and believes he provides an elegant, craftsman style of home.
Represented by CARE Real Estate Group of Remax Southern Homes 280, the residence is listed at $699,000. The house is expected to be complete by April.
“We’re very enthused about matching this lovely home with the right buyers, and already are getting interest from potential homeowners from as far away as Oregon,” Alicia Cuevas, realtor and business partner with Carolyn Ramey for the CARE team, says.
The premier Greystone Cove community includes access to swimming, tennis, a pavilion for social events, stocked fishing and a playground.
